Sir Vees (sometimes called Sir V) was a very, very heavy late 70s/early 80s sound from London NW10. The 'V' stood for Professor Vadus who built the beginning of the sound and then left it to the Operator/Technician 'Jungleman' to build on and manage. Sir Vees and Nightcruiser were the resident sounds of Church End Youth Center NW10 (which was run by 'Dilly' of Stingray Records fame,) and every Friday Sir Vees would wreck the place with severe bassline. Sir Vees played in Birmingham (with Scorcher Sound amongst others,) Manchester and all around London and surrounding counties (Hitchin, Middlesex,Slough etc.) Sir V were joined in the mid 80s by the dj Trevor Notch (who had a hit with Bip-Bip-Bip-Bip-Bop-Bop-Bop.) RIP Trevor.

Two young apprentices (Slacky Ranx and Foots) then joined Sir Vees (at about 11 yrs old) after Jungleman asked them a few questions about music/sound. Soon after they were joined by Smurf Valentine (now on Roots FM London 95.4) and Chimpy (alias Broadfinger, who is now a big producer) and they eventually formed Young Sir Vees Hi-Power.
