I'm a little concerned about the blanket assertion about what the first Ska record and first Reggae record was. These are disputed to the best of my knowledge.

Perhaps changing the info to »what is claimed to be the first...« or such would be more appropriate?

A footnote with the source is smart!

I'm tempted to delete the first record bit as this kind of debate is best addressed in an article about the history/development of reggae and not in a chronology.

For the moment I've adjusted it but may change it later - what do you reckon?

OK I cut that bit. I was convinced after seeing another 2 tunes mentioned on the "Reggae" page. I've listed the tunes I cut there instead.

Yeah, it does seem to be the better thing to do.

First UK sound Tom The Enchanter? Duke Vin is usually credited as being the first in the UK - is there a reference for this?

Regarding Count Shelly starting his sound in Swindon on 1952 it says on his reggaepedia-page that he relocated there in 1962. Is this just a matter of a typo - and which one is right?

I'd say 1962 - '52 sounds far too early. Likewise the Duke Vin page gives one date for Vin moving to the UK but the chronology gives an earlier date for him starting his sound in the UK...
