Pampidoo grew up in the Greenwich Farm and Waterhouse section of Kingston. His very unique style of deejaying earned him the name the rockstone voice he later took on the synthesizer voice (due to a feud with the similar styled deejay Uglyman).

Often sparring with Tulloch T at local dances he later on joined Killamanjaro. Bertram produced the single "Governor General" for him which was released on his Freedom Sounds label. After the feud with Uglyman Pampidoo joined King Jammys Super Power HiFi.

Pampidoo has only released one LP, Governor General, that was released in 1992 on the Hi Times label. However the music seems to have been recorded during the mid 80's perhaps in 1985 (the track »The DJ with The Rockstone Voice« features Pampidoo doing some fast chat lyrics that was introduced to Jamaica in 1985). Pampidoos reputation was built on mainly sound tapes that circulated.

Pampidoo isn't to be confused with similarly named deejay Prince Pompidou who recorded in the early 70's.

In 2007 Pampidoo released a 7" with the cultural song »Selassie I Rule« (Version City label) over the rhythm of Johnny Osbournes »Let There Be Love«.

The feud with Uglyman

On the song »Synthesizer Voice« he speaks out about how Uglyman imitates the style Pampidoo originated, both deejays were known at one point as the DJ with the Rockstone Voice which of course was not liked by Pampidoo. The song was released on Jammy's in 1987 and was on the Agony-rhythm. It became quite a hit and perhaps was the nail in the coffin on the feud with Uglyman.
