Musical Root was a book/magazine project run by David Katz. Two issues were released Musical Root and Musical Root 2. They were published by Koncrete Jungle Lion and Tero Kaskis Black Star.

The first issue includes interviews with Bernard Collins (of the Abyssianians), Joseph Hill (of Culture), Marshall Munhumumwe of the Four Brothers, Doctor Alimantado, Jennifer Romeo (sister of Max Romeo) and an article on Seven Leaves Records. 60 pages. ISBN 951 95321 1 0
