Half Moon was a Canadian label owned by Oswald Creary. He launched the label after breaking up his collaboration with Jerry Brown who he worked with on the Summer Records label. The label was formed in 1975 and released records by artists such as music legends Stranger Cole, Johnny Osbourne, Joe Higgs, Leroy Sibbles but also local musicians as Dill Smith and Pat Satschmo. The in-house backing band was known as Super 8 Corporation
In 2003 Honest Jon's released a compilation focusing on Half Moon with both sought after singles and unreleased material.
