Fathead (b. Vernon Sylvester Rainford, 5th of March, 1964) was a deejay most known as Yellowmans sparring partner. As a youth he attended Fitz-henley High School in Kingston 5. He met Yellowman in '79 even though he had deejayed previously on his own. Together with Yellowman they became perhaps Jamaicas most respected act with Yellowman in the front and Fathead as a crucial spar. And it was primarily with Yellowman Fathead recorded even though he released a few solo songs such as »Rat Trap« (GRED 103) and »Wha Dat« (GRED 108) for producer Lloyd Campbell in 1982 and »Champion« (GRED 118) the following year, this time for Junjo.

In 19th of August, 1988 he was murdered at his home. He is buried in Belle Glade Fl.
